Lepidolite, Muscovite Harding Pegmatite-Dixon, NM

Lepidolite a lithium ore along with Rose Muscovite is very plentiful at the mine as purple rocks shown in the pictures below.  Make sure you stop at the caretakers house to sign the waiver before you go to the mine otherwise its off-limits.  The photos don’t show the purple as well — they are really pretty purple, but you get the gist!

    Great place for rockhounds! Easy walking. Nice specimens for beginners.
