Netflix’s new player based on Microsoft’s Silverlight seems to have helped my earlier complaints about slowness. I am much happier with the new silverlight player. I have been able to watch full length movies (some still have compression artifacts), however, most of the annoying rebuffering delays are gone since the upgrade (now about 2 months). I do have to say I have a pretty fast internet connection though.

There are still bugs, and the comments at the above blog seem to indicate that Vista is NOT solid, and BEWARE, you can’t go back once you have opted-in…
